I made a blog and then dissappeared. oh well it happens. I just got back from a mission where I went out on a convoy to some school where we gave out toys and candy and shoes and other crap to little iraqi kids. I was all going kinda cool until we actually opened the doors to the room where we were giving out all the stuff. I'll set the scene: Take 150 impoverished kids who rarely if ever have had the chance to partake in candy and decent toys then make them wait in line for an hour with a big window so they can see all the good stuff their gonna get, and then let them in in groups of 3-4 at a time. Yeah we got trampled. I'm honestly suprised that no one opened fire on the kids, I thought about it (not really) but I was a night mare. On the other hand, I did get to ride in a helocopter.

My name is Dubee and this is my story. This is the first of what will probably be many entries to this page. I am a Soldier stationed in Iraq, my job: I'm a journalist. At least in theory. As this thing progresses you will probably see how that doesn't always happen. To describe myself in my current situation, I'm not exactly disheartened by my situation, just worn down. I've been here 3 months so far, and from what I've seen it's pretty wild over here. I don't really know my opinion on the war, I mean, yeah we shouldn't of come over here in the first place for the reasons that we did. But now that we are here we certainly have to finish what we started. I see what's going on with the whole reconstruction and nation-building and I think it's a good thing, the Iraqi people are better off for it, at least in my humble opinion. Anyhow that's about it for now I'll try to stay updated. Peace out-
